Some more artwork from Sabrina, Thank you again.

I studied Alice in Wonderland in drama for my final ever drama piece, and the extraordinary characters really captured my interest.  I thought I'd try out a variety of paintings and drawings, made famously by Tim Burton, and the Mad Hatter really caught my attention to really work on the unique colours within he's face.  I also love Johnny Depp as he's an inspiring actor.

Therefore, after doing a few study sheets (about 7) I decided I wanted to do the Mad Hatter for my final piece.  I enjoyed creating a variety of unique colours which clashed together well, giving the painting a unique, awesome outcome:-)

Hurrah some more art has found it's way here, Thank you Sabrina

I studied an animal project in art for about 2 months, and I chose to do elephants.      Elephants   have such elegance about them.  I love the beauty of the different textures and   tones, experimenting with different media to create a life-like piece of artwork. I thought I'd do a tonal drawing of an elephant for my friend Aimee.
The detailed skin texture of the elephant was very interesting to create, by trying to get accuracy, tone and textures all into one.  The beauty of elephants is that they are a unique, beautiful animal, and I love to draw unqiue animals  with different types of media such as paint, coloured pencils and tonal drawings.  I've donea few pictures of elephants from different positions and emotions.
This elephant looks elegant with a lot of emotion in it's eyes.  By drawing this elephant, it made me think of various emotions of the caption of the picture, and it felt like it had a deep meaning.  It took me 2 hours to draw this, and I'm pretty happy with the outcome, it was hardwork, but the more practise and longer I took, it made me build up a better tonal drawing of the elephant.
Aimee loved this drawing and had it framed, which made me delighted that my hardwork paid off.  They're amazing and beautiful animals and it's challenging to create various textures and tones to create an artistic piece of work.

A short or long description of your artwork would be greatly appreciated and greatly increase the chances of your work being posted. As it is your chances are pretty high

It would be preferable if your art fitted into my definition of art, a bit more confusing that the laws of robotics.

Rule 1. Be unique, so no IKEA chairs but a handmade ones would be fine

And/Or

Rule 2. Has an idea for example Ai Weiwei and his seeds not unique but there is an idea, an IKEA chair does not have an idea

Rule 3. if your art follows rule one and not rule two it must have a level of skill proportionate to the artist so a one year old can get on this blog no problem.

Finally someone has sent in some artwork. the best person to talk about art is the person who made it.

My name's Tesni and I've unfortunatley not had the luxery of travelling abroad, seeing sights from The Great Wall of China to a palm tree. Such things fascinate me as England can grow mundane with the same secenery.

MK shopping Centre is a palace of child hood memory for me, in particular the tropical trees lumbering over me as a toddler. I never understood how these trees could live indoors. I recently re-descovered this magical place (in my mind anyway) as I shop with friends -a girly teenager thing...

For my art project the title was 'Ordinary and Extraordinary" and it clicked then. Other people walk past these trees and see them as decoration, whilst I can't keep my eyes off them, I feel like I'm in a different country. I wanted to mix up other peoples view that this was ordinary, and I thought it was extraoridnary.

I took a picture of my friends walking past the trees, literally the picture is split in half with thriving tropical trees and normal people going about their lives in the modern building. I wanted to point out (even more so) the vibrant trees, to make the shoppers look like they're ignoring this beauty.

I also wanted to include the idea of the neglect of our environment, rainforests and species dissapearing, they won't last forever. Therefore, I refined my idea further to make my trees out of real bark and leaves from my neighbours field. (i had to colour in the bark to get the tropical yellow.) This would then wither and die, I wanted this to happen as a warning that if we don't look after our world it will die such as the painting.

I painted the rest of the photo in black and white to symbolise the 'ordinary' and the modern, sophisticated structure of Milton keynes, also an over-looked beauty.

Over-all I just wanted to show how amazed I am at MK Shopping Centre, to also point out we are too materialistic and miss out on the little things which are more importnant than going on holiday 3 times a year to the most exotic places for 2 weeks at a time (which I don't even think we realise how awesome that is too!!!)

This is an artist copy of 'Lizzie Mary Cullen's" style, a cluttered, intricate, funky, almost cartoony biro style of the picutre. She usually draws famous(ish) places such as China Town in London. My picture I admit isn't as warped and exciting as hers, however my hand definitly hurt by the end of this task for the amount of tiny detail I tried to include.
The picture is taken at Trafalgar Square, London. In actual fact I was supposed to be in The National Art Gallery gazing over the priceless artwork, instead, again with my lack of travelling I was increadibly excited I was in London, and not just any old place, Trafalgar Square!
I loved the composition of the picture, Big Ben off in the distance like when you're driving to the beach and you're waiting for the first glimpse of sea (or is it just me who does that?) I also like the architecture of the charming buildings and the busy traffic represents the heart of England.

I went on a short trip with my dad to his place of childhood - Wales. This is the furthest I've travelled and couldn't keep my mouth shut because there were ACTUAL MOUNTAINS!!!! I took endless pictures, most of which were of blurred hedges, however I got a few good ones such as this.
I am definitly an 'outdoors' person so I enjoyed being around these extreme landscapes - sort of - and decided to colour this in oil pastel; because the material is 'oily' and 'raw' which I thought would best resemble the welsh landscapes, rich and alive.
This was also included in my 'Extraordinary and Ordinary' project under 'Places.'
